How PGK Plant & Civils Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data.

PGK Plant & Civils Ltd ("PGK", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with this website and our services. We are a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI706852, with our registered office at 38 Gortin Road, Omagh, BT79 7HX. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The personal data we collect

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking technologies and does not collect personal data automatically. We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, for example when you:

  • contact us by telephone, email or by using the enquiry form on this site (which opens an email in your own mail application);
  • request a quotation, hire plant or engage our services;
  • visit one of our sites or we visit yours;
  • apply to work with us or supply goods or services to us.

The data we hold typically includes your name, job title, company, telephone number, email address, site addresses, the content of your correspondence, and the commercial and financial details needed to provide and invoice our services. We do not knowingly collect data from children or special category data for marketing purposes.

Our web hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested in server logs for security and performance purposes. See our cookie policy.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary with: our accountants, insurers and professional advisers; our email, IT and hosting providers; transport partners who deliver and collect plant; principal contractors and site operators where you are working on, or we are working at, their site; waste facilities and regulators where legally required on waste documentation; and HMRC, Companies House, the Health and Safety Executive (and HSENI), the Environment Agency, NIEA or other authorities where we are obliged to do so. Our providers act under contract and may only use data on our instructions.

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to protect your data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years after our last contact. Contract, invoicing and accounting records are retained for six years after the end of the financial year to which they relate, as required by tax and company law. Health and safety and waste records are kept for the periods required by the relevant legislation (for example, waste transfer notes for two years and hazardous waste consignment notes for three years). Unsuccessful job applications are deleted after six months.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased where there is no good reason for us to keep it; restrict or object to processing, including to direct marketing at any time; receive your data in a portable format where processing is based on contract or consent; and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, email info@pgkplant.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including password-protected and encrypted email and accounting systems, access limited to those who need it, and secure disposal of paper records.
